Cortijo Romero is an established and successful business with a client list of over 8000 people. In our busiest years we have sold up to 550 holiday weeks per year.
There is potential for this to grow significantly with only fairly minor investments in marketing.
The Business
Cortijo Romero has a well established brand, customer base, and location. It has provided retreats and holidays for 38 eight years, the last 30 under the current owner.
Holidays usually run for around 40 weeks a year, from March until and over New Year. Pricing remained static at €880 per week for a number of years. A couple of weeks each year are privately block-booked, with guaranteed income.
Sales have been achieved via email newsletter, social media and online searches, with email being the main sales channel.

We believe that investment in marketing will generate significant new interest in visiting Cortijo Romero.
The Finances
Over the years Cortijo Romero has consistently sold up to 550 guest-weeks per year, being open 30-40 weeks per year.
Our price for 1 week during our final few seasons was around £880, depending on single-room supplements etc. This price included full board and lodging, a 1-day excursion, and a daily morning session of tai-chi or yoga.
The staff team
Running Cortijo Romero usually requires a team of about 18 people, with a Manager and a Head of Gardening and Maintenance working full-time. The other, part-time employees provide services when the centre is open. There are hosts, teachers, cooks, guides and cleaners.
The bookings office was located in the UK.
